Thoth- ATU XX-The Aeon
The Spirit of Primal Fire.
The Universal Key of good judgment that is utilized in both personal and professional situations.
The Lost Soul Tarot- Key 20-Judgment
Nuit and Horus
The Thoth Aeon Card depicts Egyptian Goddess Nuit (Nut or Nuith), the dark Sky Goddess as she curves over the Golden Sphere of Hadit, Thelemic-Egyptian God of Wisdom (Chokmah on the Tree of Life) who married Isis, Egyptian Goddess of Intuition (Binah on the Tree of Life). The union of Isis & Osiris (Hadit in Thelema) gave birth to Horus (Tiphareth), the God of Perception, which is seen as the seated Thelemic god Ra-Hoor-Khuit (Horus) on the Thoth card, who holds the phoenix wand in his right hand. His left hand is empty. Standing as a transparent essence before Seated Horus his twin, the Thelmic Hoor-pa-kraat (see the Sun - Key 19 twins), his finger at his lips in the sign of silence. Baring his Horus Lock, his head is shaven and crown with the 2 Uraeus serpents (life and death). Below is the Hebrew letter Shin (fire-tooth), filled with 3 floating fetuses. Nuit, her body filled with stars, her breasts alive with the milk of whirling galaxies, makes the sign of Leo; the zodiac Leo represents creative and professional power.
leo
The 3 Aeon, of Isis, Osiris, Horus, displayed on the Thoth card reminds us that effective use of creativity makes a positive impact in both family and professional career. Hoor-pa-kraat, with his finger in his mouth, reflects that wisdom comes from experience; to create, see error and correct it, is the path of wisdom. Hence, Wisdom is not randomly spoken.
In the Thoth Tarot, the Aeon card (ATU 20) indeed features the Goddess Nuit and the God Hadit, and I know there are some similarities to Isis and Osiris they are they are not direct equivalents.
Nuit and Hadit represent aspects of the Thelemic spiritual system developed by Aleister Crowley. Nuit is often associated with the infinite, the cosmos, and the feminine divine, while Hadit represents the point of view, individuality, and the masculine divine. Their symbolism is deeply rooted in Thelema and Crowley's philosophical and mystical teachings.
Isis and Osiris, on the other hand, are well-known deities from Egyptian mythology. Isis is the goddess of magic, motherhood, and fertility, while Osiris is the god of the afterlife, rebirth, and the underworld. Their story is one of resurrection and eternal life.
So, while there may be some thematic similarities between these pairs of deities, they belong to different spiritual systems and have distinct attributes and roles within their respective traditions.
Thoth- atu 20-the aeon
The red-winged eye of Horus at the top of the seated figure of this card represents inspired vision that gives us the whole-view of any situation. We should understand that by creating errors and correcting those errors, we become wise. Truth is every thought or idea is a failure until it isn't. Therefore, there is no sinful error in Creation, only knowledge is gained by doing; what gets one where they want to go and what doesn't get one where they want to go are both knowledge. Hence, right and wrong do not exist in Knowledge.
Every image is of the One- Self, for everything proceeds from a generating idea (self-awareness) which is related to transcendent conception. I (Osiris) Am (Isis) Me (Horus)...is the generating principle of manifestation. We are the Divine I AM Me communicating to the Whole of Spirit (One Energy) as I Am... what I assume I AM is created as "ME"! Also, we need never leave that which we absolutely love, for all we become truly aware of, we become! Becoming /Transformation never ends, it is the love process of being! There is no punishing tyrant or judgmental god in this universe, there is only cause and effect; therefore, you make your own fate by getting exactly what you put out. Such is the message of Horus.
The Lost Soul Tarot-Key 20-Judgment.
Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot- Key 20-Judgement
The Lost Soul Tarot- Key 20- is more like the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot-Key 20 with its angelic presence and represents rebirth through conscious choice and offers us insight encouraging us to complete the journey deeply within and come out of that abyssal depth of False-Self into the light of increased awareness as a Phoenix. Hence, the fire of rebirth in this card's art.
The Hebrew letter of shin (meaning tooth-fire) that is represented on the bottom of the Thoth Card is present here. Here, it is understood that Fire is heating Air, Water and Earth. The winged Angel replaces the winged eye of Horus that is displayed on the Thoth Card. The souls
Water is the Mind- Universal Collective Unconsciousness (Dark Ocean of Binah) which is the dark night of the heavens in this card. The cleansing process of purification is activated by the Fiery paradigm of equilibrating Spirit (Air) within the physical vehicle (Earth). Therefore, the Path of Shin-JUDGEMENT, is aimed at producing in the personality, a total understanding of the personality structure and its relationship to the Universe. As mentioned, the Aeon-key 20, is known as the Path of Shin (tooth/Fire) on the Tree of Life. Tooth representing that which kill, for as fire it "bites" away the dysfunctions of an indoctrinated personality and thereby, transforms the idea of Self as one listens to their inner calling.
Pluto-God of the underworld
The Planet Pluto is assigned to the Aeon/ Judgement Card-Key 20-Judgement card. Pluto is often associated with transformation, regeneration, and the subconscious. Here are some key characteristics of the astrological planet Pluto:
Transformation: Pluto is considered a symbol of transformation and rebirth. Its influence is associated with profound changes, both on an individual and collective level.
Regeneration: Pluto's energy is linked to the concept of regeneration and renewal. It signifies the ability to rise from the ashes and undergo deep inner transformations.
Intense Power: Pluto is a powerful and intense planet (In Astrology Pluto is still a planet). Its influence can bring about intense experiences, emotions, and situations, challenging individuals to confront their deepest fears and desires.
Depth and Mystery: The energy of Pluto is often connected with the mysterious and unseen aspects of life. It delves into the depths of the subconscious, revealing hidden truths and motivations.
Psychological Insight: Astrologically, Pluto is associated with psychological insights and the understanding of one's inner motivations. It encourages introspection and the exploration of the subconscious mind.
Destruction and Rebirth: Pluto's influence is sometimes likened to the process of destruction followed by rebirth. It symbolizes the cycle of death and regeneration, emphasizing the transformative nature of experiences.
Pluto in the Natal Chart: In an individual's natal chart, the placement of Pluto can indicate areas of life where profound transformation is likely to occur. It can also reveal deep-seated desires and issues that need to be addressed.
Collective Transformation: On a collective level, Pluto's transits can coincide with significant societal changes, upheavals, and transformations. It is associated with the evolution of consciousness on a broader scale.
It's important to note that Pluto's influence is complex and multifaceted, and its impact can vary depending on its placement in the astrological chart and its interactions with other planets. Astrologers often analyze Pluto's transits and placements to gain insights into the transformative energies at play in an individual's life. However, Pluto is a perfect representation of the Judgement/Aeon card actions.
The Sun and the Moon-the Dance of Rational and imagination. Loving Dance of Creator and Creatrix.
The Sun and Moon on this card shine in equal measured cycles and rhythms, the loving dance of Greater and-Creatrix whose intercourse of rhythm and cycle makes the Universal heartbeat and the immortal breath of I AM. The beams of sunlight and moonlight become in their dance of love, are woven into natural patterns of wholeness and offer potential transcendence to motion. When on this path of love- dancing anima and animus transcending from within to the outside world is an indication that this journey timeline has joined the child within, the adolescent, adult, and ancient and future selves who have fully embraced each other.
The Sun rays radiate outward as gold and red feathers, and the earthly fire linking this card to the letter shin as the solar energy becomes a mode of ascension. Our destiny is already supplied and that is "to be"; a directed will of the One "Will to be", which is Kether the divine 0. However, our fate is our own to describe as a "life". This is because we have freedom to choose our own self-identity. I AM is our truth, what I AM is an assumption. This means that we must remove the mask of words that is a manmade personality which is the fuel of the fire. Persona is the Greek word for "mask".
This may look like a death scene; However, it is an image of void-of-course, which lets the spirit rise while offering intuitional messages heard in the silence. We are the authors of our life-story. As an image of Creator and Creatrix, we decide by our own authorship, not by some faux "outside authority".
The AEON is much more informative than the Traditional JUDGMENT- Card.

The Spirit of the Primal Fire.
Adam Khadmon-The heavenly human
This ATU 20 Card is the 31st Path of Wisdom that is known as The Perpetual Intelligence, because it regulates the motions of the Sun and Moon, each in an order convenient for it. The Path of Shin known as Judgment because it joins the Earth (Malkuth) with Splendor (Hod), the base Sephiroth and completion of the Pillar of Severity (The right side of the Tree of Life --your left if looking at it--forms a Pillar to the top Black circle that is Binah. This is the Pillar of Severity). The Earth is now connected to the ultimate expression of Binah (Goddess/Mother) which is the Will to Form that is the activating Path of Intellect while the opposite, The Moon card, is a formative Path of emotion. This Judgment is a process undergone by the Personality as it strives to become conscious of its own inner working. It is perpetual process of monitoring of the Personality toward universal consciousness or what I call "Claiming your Divine Inheritance "and/or "Receiving", which is the meaning of the Word Qabalah.
The Human Merkabah (Throne of God).
The Spiritual fires/powers, our real identity, when invoked by the desire of the path traveling aspirant, slowly burns away that which is deemed unworthy of Divine Identity Inheritance by the redeeming fire; a process that is physical and can be associated with the Kundalini Fire of the Root/Muladhara chakra as it rises the spine towards the brain...often placing the brain in a stupor and/or state of rapture. This is the "Splendor of the Material World"(as noted by the Golden Dawn) that points out the relationship of the Path of Shin to the physical body as a state of Resurrection or Rebirth.
The Path of Shin is a controlled "Redeeming Fire"; a process that is physically experienced as the higher vibratory Passion of the Primal Will to Be- begins hotly flowing through our bodies. This is a point of delicate balance, and a Teacher of the Mysteries must expect aspirants to react in peculiar ways, such as a feeling of heated passion for the Teacher. This is simply a misplaced transference, because the cultural and/or false ego seeks self-gratification when stimulated by outside influence. This bright energy is really the beginning of unconditional love radiating within the student whose inner self is responding to the Gnosis (Knowledge). There exists a Love/ Passion dynamic that is the Fire of Spirit acting in sensual flesh and with proper guidance the aspirant will go into the Fire, instead of prematurely trying to control it with outside sexual issues. However, the adorable fire (Dr. Paul Foster Case) can also be experienced when Twin flames meet on the physical plane.
The Serpentine Fire of the Kundalini (Inner Solar Self)
The concept of Twin Flames is a belief in a deep and spiritual connection between two individuals that goes beyond the typical romantic or soulmate relationship. It's often associated with New Age and metaphysical beliefs, and it's important to note that it's not a universally accepted or scientifically proven concept. Here's a general overview of the idea:
Twin Flames vs. Soulmates: Twin Flames are believed to be two souls that were originally one soul, which then split into two separate souls. This is different from the concept of soulmates, which suggests a strong connection between two souls, but not necessarily the idea of originally being one soul.
Purpose of Reunion: The primary belief associated with Twin Flames is that these two souls are destined to reunite in a physical or spiritual sense during their earthly journey. This reunion is often seen as a powerful and transformative experience.
Mirror Reflection: Twin Flames are thought to be mirrors of each other, reflecting each other's strengths, weaknesses, and inner selves. This reflection can be intense and lead to personal growth and self-discovery.
Challenges and Lessons: The journey of Twin Flames is often described as challenging and intense. The belief is that these relationships bring out unresolved issues, past traumas, and karmic lessons that both individuals need to address and heal.
Unconditional Love: Twin Flame relationships are said to be characterized by a deep and unconditional love that goes beyond ordinary romantic love. It's seen as a spiritual and transcendent love.
Separation and Reunion: Twin Flames may experience periods of separation and reunion throughout their lives, and these cycles are believed to be part of their spiritual growth and evolution.
Spiritual Purpose: Many people who believe in Twin Flames see the connection as having a higher spiritual purpose, such as helping each other, and the world evolve spiritually.
It's important to approach the concept of Twin Flames with an open mind and understand that it's a belief system rooted in spirituality and metaphysics. Not everyone subscribes to this belief, and some may view it as a metaphorical or symbolic representation of deep and intense romantic connections. Ultimately, whether one believes in Twin Flames or not, the most important aspect of any relationship is mutual respect, love, and growth between the individuals involved.
Twin Flames
I recommend the proven practice of Kundalini Yoga meditations to anyone who aspires to be the Celestial Solar Being that they really are, for these practices are a metered and regulated process that is not dangerous and/or premature in nature. Such is the lesson of the 8th Sephiroth- Hod, love/passion is not a peacock's splendor, rather it is the Foundation of all Creation. For the personality to know this is a perpetual process of "burning off the unworthy", so that progress can continue, this "burning" is often hard won. Thus, the "Splendor of the Material World" is burned away in a kind of fiery-willful physical resurrection of the "God Molecule" (Tree of Life/ Double Helix of DNA), a rebirth of body and personality sending us perpetually towards the Great Mother/Creatrix/Binah who removes the "human stain" (fear) from our souls. This path of Shin is an initiation through the severity of the Red Goddess, Geburah, the "menstrual blood" of the Creatrix, which purifies the Soul, before it can return to the Supernal Mother-Binah, as the "pure child" that was born as "you".
Double Helix-DNA-The God Molecule.
Before you became a soul/solar self who creates its own form of Self-Awareness, you were "will to force" and when combined with "will to form" became the I AM, and later became an aware Creator of a "Me" and/or "self-reflection". One is purified by this "Red fiery blood" before they enter the Abyssal Womb, to be "reborn" and this purification caused by the Kundalini (Inner Sun) can be extremely dangerous and disturbing to a reality formed out of indoctrination and emotional dogma. Not a practice for "drama queens/kings" and/or the "self-absorbed" who blame everything for their problems.... not remembering that we are the creators of our own life-motion and/or fate. I Am because I think I Am!
One must first acknowledge the "dark mind virus" within before they can even begin to advance up the Tree of Life. This "false ego" is the one that plays the "blame game " of the ignorant and soon it will suck off all life energy from its host. For it is "anti-life" and/or live spelled backwards. I have found that the greatest challenge this adorable fire of Kundalini brings is keeping an awareness of the outside world as if it were important. The challenge is to be Divine and sensual body, all in a wholeness of Spirit-Mind-Body. The True spiritual mind finds the world of manmade devices an absolute illusion. Yet, we are the builders of "lifetimes" and must be in-form-action, so that experience builds knowledge for the Whole of the Universal Collective Human (Adam Khadmon) as well as our Solar Self.
To the Spirit, the only thing important about importance is that it isn't important.
The Path of Shin is where the components of the Personality first encountered in the Moon (subconscious) are critically analyzed and judged (evaluated). It is a bright and fiery probationary path of the intellect while the Moon is the dark, cold, and watery probationary path of the emotions. Both are the introduction to the true nature of Self (Greater Self) in incarnation and can thus be extremely difficult as all the fears of the fear-based subconscious must be examined and overcome with Wisdom. That is one reason people are cautioned about "Raising the Kundalini"(primal life force) as it destroys well-kept boundaries and therefore, it releases the "dragons" of fearfully suppressed identity kept in the dungeons/underworld of our lower subconscious …where it empowers the "trickster"; the mimic that is the "mind virus". We are our own judgment of self, by our belief in our own identity and/or self-perspectives. Hence, how a person perceives themselves to be, becomes their judgment at death-their own personal heaven or hell. Within our subconscious is our "shadow self" and this must not be repressed as is an errant societal recommendation. Rather, it is our inner power to be, and must be consciously understood and directed by love rather than suppressed by fear of our "dark side".
Facing your Shadow Self of the Subconscious-Noting it lacks substance.
The Human as the 5 Universal Elements.
Adam Khadmon (The heavenly human)
As seen in the 20-Aeon card, all elements are present on this path, either active or inactive--which is to say expressed (seen-active) or unexpressed (unseen-passive) making these Elemental Paths difficult to understand. Shin contains all four alchemical Elements, Fire, Water, Air and Earth. The evolution of the cosmos is from the subtle (simple) to the most complex; from nothing to something. From simple quanta (subatomic massless particles) to complex molecular and cellular structures that have mass. and coagulate into forms. In all things, the whole is implicit in the developing parts and can only be intimate with these parts as the energy flow within them.
The Anunnaki. (Those who from the heavens that came to earth)
Hence, the "God Molecule" is delivered across space and time by ET's, in our case the Anunnaki. Life is the Creation of the Solar Self. The Organic material of earth has now inherited the "God Molecule" through us and from our ancient scientist- astronaut ancestors who brought the "god molecule" in their DNA/RNA and genetically combined it with humanoid species (homo erectus) on earth. Higher Life travels across the Universe in this manner (Some geneticists postulate that the human DNA is 14.5 billion years old, Earth-life is only 3.8 billion years old).
The Egyptian Sun god-Horus, in the Egyptian Tarot of Thoth, represents the Adam Khadmon of Western Hermetic Qabalah. Adam Khadmon is the Universal Archetype of the "God Molecule" as a Heavenly Human. The winged orb, which is called the "Eye of Horus" is from the Sumerian Symbol for the Planet Nibiru (the 12th planet), where our ET's DNA came from. In the Bible there were called the "Sons of god who married the women of men", in Sumerian they were called the Anunnaki ("those who from the heavens came to earth".) Hence, we have inherited the Solar Mind of Horus/the Celestial Divine Creative in our God Molecule. The Hebrews called the Anunnaki Nephilim and to many Native American nations, the Anunnaki are called the Star People. To us moderns, religion has made the Star people, angelic beings.
In the Thoth Tarot, The Aeon, supersedes all earlier concepts of the Key, making the traditional idea of the Judgment card obsolete, by showing the harmonious and spiritual state of human existence which will be on earth in the 22 century (according to Crowley). Crowley saw that the World- the Traditional Judgment card was talking about, as the spiritual the Age of Osiris. The New Spiritual Age of Horus is depicted on the Thoth Aeon card, as Spiritual Forces that initiated the next Aeon of enlightenment. This is symbolized by the Goddess Nuith (Isis), and her consort Hadit (Osiris) (seen as a golden orb of light). Their union births Horus, shown as seated and standing depicting his active and passive forms. Another name for Horus is Heru, which is synonymous with Hru, "The Great Angel set over the Tarot"(Crowley). This card, according to Thelemic doctrine, also symbolizes the passing of the 500-year period of darkness and trial, preparatory to a new Aeon of Light." There is much more to know, so if you have questions---research is recommended by reading and getting the Book of Thoth, by Master Theron (A. Crowley)
The Aeon, ATU/Key 20, the Path of Shin, is a double letter (Soul)- one meaning of Tooth is the part of the letter Shin and the maternal meaning of the Shin is Fire, both the meaning of the Path and the maternal meaning are a powerful combination of transformation. The Western Qaballist, Dr. Paul Foster Case describes the Path of Shin, as, “The Perpetual Intelligence", because it is a continuous monitoring Intelligence of the progress of the Personality toward Universal Consciousness. This monitoring is by the Golden Child and/or our Soul (Tiphareth-the Sun) who is Horus.
Now I have often called the One Mind, The Universal Collective Unconscious (Carl Jung) not merely consciousness, simply because a consciousness is more often understood as a microcosmic reality; However, if we release our consciousness to the Universal Conscious Energy, we have developed an Awake Consciousness that bridges the Macrocosm and Microcosm forming a Whole Self/Mind that is personally Self-Aware on all planes of this multiverse! We have then successfully become the Horus, the 22nd century human evolution. That is the reasoning behind Crowley's replacing the old Judgment card with the newer Aeon card.
This resurrection paradigm of the new Aeon is based on the developments of the opposite card to this progressive Path of Shin, which is THE MOON - ATU/Key 18, relating to the disciplined quest for a greater reality, which changes the physiological form. In other words, the balanced energetic forces of both Shin (Sun) and Qoph (the Moon) stimulate the rebirth of our "personality" that necessitates a physiological rebuild which is necessary to handle the higher vibratory states of the Higher Consciousness and the One Emotion that is Love without conditions. This is a process that Dr. Paul Foster Case described it as building a "master's body"; a body, where the Primal Vital Life Force of Kundalini is flowing, uncoiled and hot, without emotionally adverse effects.
It helps to remember that we are not "bodies", we are the life within- and around them which is often called the "soul and/or psyche". The energy that is in and around that body is the Real you- who are a complex Being of Multidimensional Light, who must operate a more condensed body to be able to process information and thereby experiencing data intimately as in-form-action. Hence, you are a Sun who is reflected by the Moon (Matter-Water) and/or the Mirror of Matter-producing a "Self-Reflection". The I AM cannot see itself without a ME formed out of "self-reflection".
Your Real Identity is the woven and/or spiral light-energy that surrounds and flows through the human body---not the body itself! You are the Spirit (comes from the Greek root word Spiro---which means to breathe) who surrounds the form as Life making the body alive. "The Alive" are avatars of Life.
These introductory Paths to the True Nature of Self in incarnation, are usually extremely difficult to travel, because these Elemental Paths of which The Aeon, The Fool, and The Hanged Man are known, are exceedingly difficult to understand. This mental difficulty is because all the Elements are present on each Path in either repressed or expressed form.
For example, the pattern of maternal letters (form producing intelligence) as stated in the Qabalistic text, Sepher Yetzirah that Air (Gases-Mind) produces Water (emotions- intuition) which produces Fire (expressed energy) which we know to be true by studying physics. THE FOOL-0 is pure Air. THE HANGED MAN-KEY 12, is Air acted upon by Water, and THE AEON- Key- 20, is Air and Water acted upon by Fire within the human body.
It pays to note that the human body is the Crucible of Spiritual Alchemy. On the Path of Shin, the Consciousness (Water) is activated by the Dynamic Principle (Fire) in the presence of equilibrating Spirit/Mind (Air) with in the physical vehicle (Earth), all of which produces a balance of intelligence forces in the individual, necessary for total understanding of the Personality structure and its relationship to the Greater Self; The One Self who has populate its "self-image" (homo sapiens as Adam Khadmon) throughout the Galaxy.
Many Qabalists know the Middle Pillar, the straight alignment of Malkuth, Yesod, Tiphareth and Kether, is the pillar of balance, yet the Path of Shin, is Left hand Path, or the left side Pillar of Severity and is usually subject to imbalance. The answer to this seeming quandary is that every symbol, represented on these Path cards, is a duality, containing its own opposite. Each Path must contain the essential components of its opposite Path, as energy moves from positive to negative, male to female, electric to magnetic. Upon viewing Hod (Splendor) you will see that it is connected or conjoined with Netzach (Victory). Hod is related to Aeon, and Netzach is related to the Moon, showing that intelligence applied without feeling is as pathological as feeling applied without intellect. And since the Cards represent a kind of intellect/conscious energy, everything we experience, every idea, every activity, co-exists in us with its opposite.
There are so many concepts to grasp in the Major Arcana, that the student may feel overwhelmed. Luckily, the images on the Cards are pictorial representation of the visual experiences of the Paths opening a great deal of learning and data by meditating on or scrying them. These Qabalistic Images have been carefully assembled over the centuries by the experienced mental work of highly advanced women and men, who have at first traveled these inner Archetypal Roads of the Mind and then meticulously laid down, in image, the details to assist latter generations.
All is Mind.
It often is the shortcoming of most aspirants who begin these astral (interdimensional Conscious paths), that at once encountering these tarot constructs, believing that they have a reality of their own. The Qabalistic Teacher must explain that only when the student/aspirant is able to go beyond the lower Astral of the Subconsciousness, is it where one touches upon realities that activate the symbols, i.e., "Open the Gates" to greater Consciousness. For instance, while traveling the Path of Shin, one may at first experience what is illustrated on the Aeon Card. Here they become the Goddess Nuit and her husband Hadit, whose divine copulation now produces a Solar- Self as Horus. The initiated become the Divine Marriage (Key 6-the Lovers), The Divine Orgasm (Key 14-Art), the Divine Conception (the Sun key 19) and then the Divinely Born (Key 20-The Aeon). This may be hard to wrap your brain around; However, diligent scrying, will soon project our consciousness beyond the visual construct into an understanding that the Path is the enervating, activating effect of the Cosmic Motive Principle on the individual consciousness. That on the Path of Shin, the Fiery Spirit (Kundalini) permeates the Personality of the individual, reversing the descent of Energy into Matter and enlivening certain inherited genetics from the "gods". Thus, the last illusions of personality separateness are burned away (Bye- bye dark cold Moon, Hello brilliant, bright and Warm Sun/Psyche!).
The Tree of Life represents the Universe of I AM (Self), if we have learned any physics at all, we know that from the simplest concept, came all the complexity that is the Cosmos. In the Big Bang theory, a fiery singularity, which came from the destruction of another universe, (Dark energy and Dark Matter), exploded outward, and became many. This is also a concept easily seen in the development of the human body, as a single celled zygote divides into hundreds of thousands of cells ending up as a human body.
In the Tarot, The Fool (The God Molecule), is the ultimate simplicity (a photon) and The Universe is representative of the ultimate complexity of coagulation (molecular forms) and yet all the Cards are implicit, although unexpressed in The Fool. Therefore, in all the cards in-between we find the balance between what is expressed or unexpressed. I am ending this discussion of simplicity into complexity, with the understanding that The Aeon, The Universe and The Moon are aspects of our individual aspects of subconscious and waking consciousness that comprises a sensual personality while also representing stages of Self -Awareness that transpires through intimacy with all that is Celestial-Self and thereby, banishing the parasitic "mind virus" (See Paul Levy's book-Wetiko).
It should be noted that the patterns of the cards will be meaningless, unless the student understands what is symbolized by the four alchemical "Elements" and/or Elemental Forces that every Qabalistic symbol represents a specific part of the Whole Self, when combined with spirit. Further understanding of The Aeon or Path of Shin, is in its meaning, "Tooth", which suggests hardness, sharpness and/or biting. It is often interpreted as the teeth which chew prior to the ingestion of matter into the system--in this case the Kundalini is released and chews up the divided personality, by dealing a final bite to the perception of a separate and individual physical self, leaving the original Persona which is Child of the Divine Creative producing a continual and transformational process of "Above all things, Know thyself", allowing us to see our interconnection with all that is alive and the "I AM"-the name of God/Goddess.
I AM!
Stele
The word Stele may confuse so let me explain: A stele, or occasionally stela, when derived from Latin, is a stone or wooden slab, taller than it is wide, erected in the ancient world as a monument. The surface of the stele often has text, ornamentation, or both. These may be inscribed, carved in relief, or painted (Wikipedia). Alister Crowley called the Aeon card the Stele of Revealing.
Crowley's drawing of Aiwass.(Looks suspiciously like a "Gray Alien").
As I have lightly mentioned Crowley's Aeon card departs completely from the traditional Cards of the Ryder-Waite. The Aeon card is illustrative of Crowley's personal philosophy derived from The Book of Law, which he stated was revealed to him, by Aiwass (Crowley's Holy Guardian Angel), thus forming the core of his teachings. He called the Aeon Card the Stele of Revealing. In his explanation of the Aeon, he claimed it superseded all traditional concepts of the Key (Judgment Card) because it shows the harmonious, spiritual state of human existence that will reside on this earth in the mid-twenty second century; This advanced human condition is illustrated by the Dark Sky Goddess Nuith arching over her consort, Hadit, who is the Golden Orb of Light. Their Union produces Horus, as shown both seated and standing, his passive and active forms. Crowley states that another name for Horus is Heru, which is synonymous with Hru, which he calls "The Great Angel set over the Tarot". Horus is the symbol for the Enlightened Human Solar- Personality.
Consistently, Qabalistic doctrine is a system of Gnosis (Knowledge) that evolves with the races of mankind, we have passed into the predicted 500-year period of extreme darkness and trial, preparatory to a new Aeon of Light. Thus, we have the letter Shin below the Standing Horus, in a flowery form and the 3 Yods, each have an internal human shape that is arising to partake of the Light of the coming Aeon. Naturally, the study of The Book of Law is recommended to further the understanding of this card of the new Aeon. However, Horus is the "Heavenly Human" and/or the Qabalistic Adam Khadmon, the "Divine Hermaphrodite", the brain copy within your body.
In time, you will realize that Crowley's interpretation isn't always right; However, occasionally his massive ego got out of the way, yet he did often receive Gnosis. None of us are always "right", so stop searching for an "always right teacher", there aren't any. Take their interpretations of Self, that obviously work and personalize them by "Above all things, know thyself". Remember, that guides aren't the destination, they aid you in your destination, like water bearers do at marathons.
We are all Divine Spirit, who is seeking Self-Awareness, something we call "lifetimes". We are all quantumly entangled, and therefore, we are all expressions of the Universal Collective Unconscious, something that many call "God and Goddess". The Divine Hermaphrodite. Therefore, the Moon reflects the Sun, but both are either receptive or expressive. Hence, the Male Sun is also Female in reception and the Female Moon is also Masculine in expression. The Universe began as 0=2 (Isis/Binah and Osiris/Chokmah). Now it is time we all became both- as 2 who equal 1 (Horus/Tiphareth).
When the Aeon-ATU 20/Judgment-Key 20, card is thrown during a reading:
- It states that a final decision has been reached.
- A matter has been determined without appeal on its plane.
- The final decision has been made, and a new state of enlightenment is beginning.
- Birth, renewal, awakening.
- Cosmic awakening.
- Birth of the new.
- Recognition of the great correlations
- Expanded perception.
- Liberation of previously concealed abilities.
If ill defined by the surrounding cards, it implies:
- False identification of self.
- Self-delusion.
- Megalomania.
- Resisting change.
