The Starman Tarot- 6 of Wands
The Starman Tarot- 6 of Wands-portrays the return of the great hero. According to Davide De Angelis, the artist, it is in part homage to the artist, Jack Burnley's original 1940's Starman superhero, combined with Davide's own vision. Therefore, the 6 of Wands card represents a celebration of a well chosen goal achieved; of Ambition requited. The Hero, knows he/she has rightly earned this success and shows no hesitation, no sense of being a fraud, as s/he has proven their self beyond capable, mustering everyone's approval.
With victory, comes a caveat; All those who bow, are not paying homage, but some are taking time to observe away to take your power and wear your crown of olive leaves. Just as Odysseus in Homer's poem the Odyssey, the returning hero may have much treachery to deal with at home. The returning hero must become aware of their immediate environment, even when the distracting dazzle of celebration is going on. Be aware that only slaves need a savior, so don't fall for the need of the self-enfeebled to raise you up above them, just to ensure that later you will fall. Therefore, proving their cowardice is the best way.
The Starman Hero, is surrounded by surrogates, and is casting great power all around. In fact, his very image states power. The 6 fiery wands are suspended around him. People, are bowing or raising hands in praise. The artwork just yells out, " The Solar Hero has come home"!
The message of this card seems to be that the querent is being invited by their Solar Self/Soul, to step forward into a position of leadership, in their work or social life. Good leadership empowers others as well as the leader. Great leaders create an exciting, invigorating and optimistic environment, coaching, and energizing their teammates, while also being accountable, honest, compassionate and ultimately decisive. Leaders of any quality at all, are not afraid of criticism, often they encourage feedback which helps to fine-tune the way to success.
Thoth- 6 of wands-victory
The Thoth , 6 of Wands is subtitled-VICTORY. The Fire Element is the ruling element of the suit of Wands;
Fire is ardor, as only Spirit can be.
Tiphareth, the 6th Sephiroth and the 6 of Wands:

THE 6'S, Represent definite accomplishment and carrying out of a matter.
In the world of quarreling and Strife, Yetzirah, strife brings success. While, in Assiah, the world of business, and commerce among men, this means material success.
The 6 OF WANDS, is the Lord of Victory. Here Jupiter is in Leo, and the Angels of the Decan are: Nelokhiel and Yeyayel.
In the 6 of Wands we have the benevolence of Jupiter in the Fiery Sign of Leo (Sun) which brings success and warm relationships. However, it is an aspect that suggest some drama and of victory after great effort.
This Crowley card, shows the Wands of the 3 Adepts (of Golden Dawn ritual) crossed in a perfect balance of power. As each Adept must go through initiations involving varying degrees of Strife, this card of Wands, suggests victory after strife.
It is to be noted, that the upright Flames, lantern like at each crossing, are in a number of 9; the number of Yesod and the Moon. This shows magnetic stabilization of the fiery male energy, and its reception and reflection by the Feminine Magnetic Principle. There is no circle around it, because it is self-supporting like the Sun.
When the 6 of Wands is thrown during a reading the Querent:
- Is assured of victory, but victory only comes after a struggle so don't celebrate prematurely.
- There is implied a short lived victory with all blockages overcome but by trusting the Stability of the Higher Self, the Victory is longer lasting.
- Confidence and belief in yourself are the necessary tools here and it looks like they have been achieved with some major breakthrough in insight and creativity happening in the next 6 days or weeks.
- The querent is showing secure knowledge of self-identity and displays self confidence in leadership abilities.
- There is in the querent a purposeful sense of direction and purpose.
- Be aware that your success brings jealousy from the less successful.
If ill defined:
- Presumption.
- Personality cult.
- Excess of emotion.
